Q: How does a customer activate a BusinessPhone Plus Package?A:
A customer can call BTC’s Enterprise sales customer service (242-302-7700) or come into our Enterprise sales office at the main JFK Branch and a representative will activate the calling plan.

Q: How much does it cost to activate the Business Phone Plus packages?A:
Once you are an existing BTC landline customer, activation to the Business Phone Plus package is Free.

Q: Will I be forced to switch from the basic line rental service, to the Business Phone Plus packages?A:
No. Existing BTC line rental customers, can maintain their services without switching to the packages.

Q: If I switch to one of the new packages, can I take my existing features with me?A:
When upgrading to one of our packages you will not be taking your existing features with you. The new packages include all features at no cost.

Q: Do I have to have a BTC phone line in order to access the Business Phone Plus packages?A:
Yes.

Q: Do I have to pay an installation charge?A:
If you are an existing BTC fixed customer you will not have to. We are simply upgrading your existing service. If this is a brand new customer (never had a BTC fixed line) installation fee will apply.

Q: What time of day do the package include?A:
• All minutes are ‘anytime’ – i.e. there are no peak/off-peak restrictions in usage.

Q: What is Fair Usage Policy and how does it affect me?A:
There is no FUP in these packages. -
Q: Will the unused minutes rollover for subscribers?A:
No.

Q: If a call is made from the Business Phone Plus fixed line to a BTC mobile, will I incur charges and will the BTC mobile subscriber incur charges as well?A:
The Business Phone Plus fixed line subscriber won’t incur charges, however the BTC mobile subscriber will incur regular airtime charges as they presently do now. -
Q: Are incoming calls from a BTC or international mobile and a local or international landline free for the Business Phone Plus subscriber?A:
Yes, as is presently the case with your basic phone line service. -
Q: Will BTC notify me when I am about to exceed my bundle?A:
For now BTC does not have an automated notification service. BTC is however in the process of negotiating with our vendors to have this service installed. BTC will advise customers just as soon as we have implemented the service commercially.

Q: Do I need to have Internet for the Business Phone Plus package to workA:
No the minutes will be bundled with your existing fixed line service

Q: If my business has more than one line will I have to purchase a separate package for each line or can the lines share the minutes (as the case with Business ViBE)A:
Each line will require a separate package be added to the existing lines. -
Q: Can I add this to a line which is attached to my PBX SYSTEM?A:
Yes PABX systems can accommodate the new packages as it is just a feature added to the existing incoming line which allows you to make cheaper calls to specified destinations in the bundles.

Q: Will I be charged for calls made to Cable Bahamas numbers on another island?A:
Yes. You will be charged an Out of plan rate of $0.12

• International destinations included in the bundle are USA, Canada the UK and China, for calls to both fixed and mobile and to all countries in the EU for fixed destinations.European Union Countries include:

A BTC business customer paying a business fixed line renal charge, ideally categorized as a small- medium business.
